The Plague Vs Corona

Here, to compare this present situation & the novel " The Plague" written by Albert Camus. There are so many questions in the mind of people now a days like: why people are dying? What is reason behind it?etc. As a literature students we shall know about this novel and what happens in history.

There is old sentence: " History repeat" I came to know about this novel during the days of Pandemic covid19 if you change the " The Plague" with covid 19 Corona virus it's seems you are reading tweets. This book is alive today and word describes it " masterpiece". This novel in the spreading disease like: " The Plague" in there virus spreading uncontrollably from animal to human. Here, we can see this current situation now a days. Here, so many similarities with present situation covid 19 Corona. 

1: Humanity- human self- centeredness Vs human sacrifice: 

Today's this very dangerous disease Corona virus. We can see that many people are sacrificing like: doctors, police and sweepers are fight with this disease day tonight for save humans life. Same situation in the novel " The Plague" Albert Camus said that many people are sacrificed during that time against plague for save humans lives like doctor Bernard Rieux. This well example of human sacrifice. Everyone reacts differently according to differently situation. In this novel one character has committed suicide. Bernard knows that this is not simple disease but lack of awareness of government it's spread uncontrollably animals to human. We can see this curry situation stupidity of oeooi situations became very critical. When 22 March 2020, PM Narendra Modi appeal of the public curfew. In fact appeal of public curfew was  due to people doing social distancing at home and increasing the enthusiasm of people to deal with global epidemic like Corona. But some people took to the street in Delhi, Ahmedabad and other places of country and made fun of comping by taking the crowd, they have also become character of laughter. We can see here stupidity of people and situation becomes very critical.

2: Science Vs Religion: 

This point is very interesting. Here, we can see that how people connect with this situations and religion. Science has given other reason regarding the epidemic and religion gave different answer. We can see the religion Vs science, priest and Dr. Bernard. In this novel writer said that a Catholic priest called panel he gives a sermon to the city in the Catholic the main squar and seeks to explain the as God's punishment for depravity. But can here doctor who loathes this approach the Plague is not a punishment for anything deserved that would be to imagine that the universe was moral or had some sort y design to it but Dr watched a young innocent child die in his hospital and he knows better suffering entirely randomly distributed it makes no sense it.
